A Big Thank You From The Burma Jungles

Dear Connie and Bill,

Greetings in His precious name.

Thank you for sending me $100 for Aa Ci.
Now sister Aa Ci is sharing the word of life to Mr.Kyaw Thun Ou.This young man is the only son of a poor widow.Even though the mother is a good believer, her son is always drinking and he is a bad cross for her.

His mother is very heart broken and finally she gives her son to Aa Ci.She gladly accepted him and feed him and teaches him every day.It has been two weeks and we hope that he must be changed and will become a good child for the Lord. Please pray for Aa Ci and the prodical son .

Every blessing,
Mang Al.

The Meaning of the Candy Cane

Hard Candy:
Reminds us that Jesus is like a “rock” strong and dependable. (Read Psalm 31:3)

Peppermint Flavor:
Is like the gift of spices from the wise men. (Read Matthew 2:11)

White Candy:
Stands for Jesus as the Holy, sinless Son of God. (Read 1 John 1:7)

Cane:
Is like a staff used by shepherds in caring for sheep. Jesus is our “Good Shepherd” (Read John 10:1-18, 27-30)

The Letter J
If the can is turned upside down, it is like the letter “J” for the Name of Jesus, our Savior. (Read Matthew 1:21)

The Color Red:
Is for God’s love that sent His only Son Jesus, and for Jesus’ love in giving His life for us on the cross. (Read John 3:16 and Revelation 1:5)

The Stripes:
Remind us of Christ’s suffer—His crown of thorns, ths turned upside down, it is like the letter “J” for the Name of Jesus, our Savior. (Read Matthew 1:21)

Hi Thasanee, It was good to get this reply also as it lets me know I did the right thing. I did mail it to your address below so you would get it quickest. I'll be mailing the $100 for you to buy the candy and any more items to use for your ministry and Christmas. There are about 80 Christmas plastic cups, 60+ small Christmas stockings you can put candy in. There are 36 large candy canes and I think 24 or 48 smaller candy canes. I hope you can get together with Chaba once she receives my box (which I'll mail today) and make a copy of the Christmas story. It is every page from the book which I only have one of. We love to help the children anyway we can but most of all when we can send things that will rell them about Jesus in ways they will always remember. But we are thankful that there are wonderful Christian sisters in the Lord who will take our small gifts and take time to tell the stories and give the candy. We can't be there so I guess we are the feet that send and you are the hands that give the gospel half way around the world.

Many blessings to you,
Love,
Connie and Bill
